Our focus is on membership, programs, advocacy, education and charity.
The 50+ Council serves the unique needs and interests of our members through our Advocacy committee. The Advocacy committee maintains a finger on the pulse of local and regional regulatory changes that impact the Atlanta Active Adult housing industry. Our endeavor is to ensure members of the council are aware of changes in the industry, while advocating for balanced guidelines in 50+ building.
Education and training can set the groundwork for your success. As 50+ housing professionals, the council believes it is crucial to understand our consumer and housing trends. Several designations programs are provided. Informed members lead to better builders and agents.
The 50+ Council understands the impact of aging on our targeted audience. Our charitable efforts will support non-profit organizations that assist the aging population.

The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA) is a not-for-profit professional trade association dedicated to promoting, protecting and preserving the homebuilding industry as a viable economic force in the Atlanta area. The HBA was founded in 1945 by a group of builders looking for an organization to serve their interests and needs within the homebuilding industry.
Today, the HBA is comprised of 10 geographic chapters and eight specialized councils, led by member volunteers and professional staff, which strive to address issues unique to the various professionals within the association. This system promotes member participation and allows them to influence future actions of the HBA. More than 60 years and dozens of awards, honors and recognition later, the association continues to thrive and prosper.learn more
